Course Description:
The wireless networking market is in a continual state of change. There have been more than a dozen of amendments to the IEEE 802.11 standard since it was first released. The CWNA (Certified Wireless Network Administrator officials Study Guide is intended to help to understand the wireless LAN (WLAN) technology in depth and to help preparing for the CWNA certification exam. This course covers to implement, troubleshoot, and maintain small, medium and large wireless networks.

Upon completion of this course, you should be able to:

  • Correctly install, configure and support wireless NICs, access points, wireless bridges, workgroup bridges and WLAN antennas from Cisco Systems and more.
  • Understand 802.11 / Wi-Fi WLAN operation in depth
  • Analyse and troubleshoot WLAN problems including RF coverage, multipath, hidden nodes and interference problems.
  • Understand the essential tools and processes used in WiFi site survey.
  • Work with sophisticated WLAN diagnostic tools from AirMagnet, Tamosoft and more.
  • Understand the insecurities in IEEE 802.11 WLANs.
  • Identify the attacks that can occur from network hackers.
  • Secure the transmission of data over a wireless LAN using Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA).
